Hello @Anonymous
One of the reasons which cause this message is corrupted/damaged template files (can be either the project template files or the family templates file). First use disk cleanup to free up your TEMP files (type disk Cleanup in windows Run command)
Then try the following:
- use a different project template (example use the US Metric instead of Impereal or viseversa)
- use a different Family templates (from another Library - different than the one you are using)
if the problem perssists
- Replace existing project template and Family you are using with template files copied from another computer on which the error is not occuring - You have to place the new templates in a separate directory anywhere else on your drive (not in the same folder of your current templates) and try
I have attached a zipped Revit2014 folder containing:
- 2x Project Template (DefaultMetric.rte) & (DefaultImperial.rte ,
- some Windows families some Door families.
Download them to a new folder in (C:\Autodesk or a place you can easily find) and try starting a new project using this rte and those families.
Report on the results please in order to advise how to move on forward
