Error Dialog box Missing

I have narrowed down my problem to my ERROR DIALOG box is missing on REVIT 2020.1.

I've tried all the tricks to relocate it if it happens to be off screen but none have been successful.

alt+space Move, alt+TAB, Resize screen resolution, isolate to single screen , ...

I'm open to other suggestions but the problem started 2 days ago, I believe after Revit update.  My secondary laptop did same update but not having any issues.

I've tried REVIT: repair, reinstall, uninstall/reinstalll... no change

Any ideas?

Multiple monitors setup at one time? Set it up again and see if error box is on it.

Several other people have posted the same problem. I have not seen a solution, yet. Keep your eye on those other posts.

Disappointing.  Sounds like a 2020.1 Update Hot Fix may be needed.  Maybe we'll just wait to apply this "High Severity" update.  Thanks for the heads up.

I have 3 monitors ...  Are you suggesting unplug 2 and try single screen only?

I just did a graphics card up date but no change their either.

I've searched high and low for same issue but not found anything yet.  Where are you seeing reports of similar problem?  so that I can keep tabs on possible solutions

Thanks

No, that is not what I was suggesting.  The opposite. If you had a multi setup and went to one monitor, then go back and check.  Clearly that's not applicable here since you currently have a multi setup.

Another thought: Add-ins.  Try troubleshooting by disabling Add-ins.

User feedback and testing indicates that this issue is related to the Revit InfraWorks Updater 2020.1 add-in.  An updated version that includes a fix for this problem should be available in the near future.  Until then, the only known solution is to uninstall the Revit InfraWorks Updater 2020.1 add-in.

Bingo that is it!!!  I disabled the Add-ins, per instructions and my dialog box reappeared. Now how do I figure out which Add-in was the problem? I add pic of temp folder I created that had 2020 Add-ins

Well, it's a process of elimination now - unfortunately.  One or more of those boogers is the culprit - most like a third-party Add-In.  Start uninstalling/reinstalling one-by-one.

I uninstalled "AutoDesk InfraWorks" from Win10 Apps & Features.  So far so good

I have 3 monitors and windows 10 professional  I occassionally find "orange" parts of my model while performing a task.  I can't find the dialog box.  Everything in the program is grayed out.  I first try the alt-spacebar-M-arrow key combination of windows to move the revit window.  If that doesn't work, I turn off each monitor, one at a time.  The dialog box can appear suddenly on one of the "still-on" two monitors.  I can then click on the warning "ok" and resume.  Oh, yes, I turn back on the third monitor.

I just had this problem in Revit 2021 in Windows 11.
I opened my display settings and changed my monitor scale. On one monitor, changing it to like 200% made the dialogue box show up. On a different monitor, changing it from 125% to 100% made the dialogue box appear. If that helps anyone.
