Enabling sections to show in a linked file

Dear all,

we are currently working on a project with two seperate files linked together. We would like the sections from one file to show in the other to avoid duplicating them. Is there any way of doing this?

Try Insert> Insert from file and pull the view from the other file. Not sure if this will work, but I think your options are limited.

Insert View from file only works for Drafting and Schedule views.

Draw a section cut approximately at the same location in your main file.  Override graphic of the section view, go to Revit Links tab and change the Display Settings to By Linked View, then pick the correct linked view from the list.

You may still need to redo the view crop and scale, but all the graphic and annotation from the linked view will retain on your section.
