Are there any Elevation views listed in your Project Browser?

If yes, then perhaps the marks are hidden or outside of a crop box. So check the Annotations tab of the Visibility Graphics of your plan views, or use the Reveal Hidden Elements tool at the very bottom of your screen, and also turn off the Crop View setting of the plan views' properties. Zoom extents and see if the marks are visible now. Regardless, you can open any elevation view right from the Project Browser.

If no, then you just don't have any Evelation views, and you will have to create one. Use the Elevation tool on the ribbon under the View tab, and place a mark into any plan view.
