Elevation Tags

I know that Revit's default (System Family) Elevations tags are shown in a circle with blue. How can change to a custom tag? For example, shown as a triangle?

To get a triangle around the label you will have to modify the family in the family editor and add a triangle using lines.  Now if you still want to leave the other shapes then i would create a new type within the family and add yes/no parameters to the shapes that relate to the types(Circle,triangle...)

How am i able to modify if its a System Family? I cannot seem to find a family that even looks the same as the elevation tag and also make it "smart" like the default tag.

Sorry i should of mentioned that elevation tags are made up of Spot elevation symbol families.  If you click on the elevation tag and go to its type properties you will notice a symbol parameter that is where you can assign a new symbol once you create your own.
