Elements in Revit disappear after running Dynamo for the second time

Hi

When I create elements in Revit like a simple wall through Dynamo there are two problems.

Sometimes the elements are created and sometimes not. There is only a line in Revit but not the wall.  Also when I close a Revit project and save the Dynamo scrips and open the dynamo script again, the elements disappear.

Is there a simple way to be able to open a Dynamo script that has all the elements for a totally new Revit project and all the elements that were created in Dynamo comes back to the new Revit project?

Thanks for replies in advance1.PNG2.PNG

Hi @Anonymous

Hi your revit element is missing when you run the graph again on another curve ?

You can post this issue on dynamo forum.

Hi

Yes, the script that I used, created the wall but when I close down the Revit project and create a new Revit project but using the same Dynamo script, the wall disappears.

Hi, This is a defualt behaviour with dynamo...it is binding with curve and
remeber the curve always..so it will delete if you use the graph on any
other curve. You can use some python script to avoid that...you can search
for that python code in dynamo forum. There is already lot of thread for
the solution of this problem. Another workaround is that just create a new
graph and save it with out running.then open it and run the graph. Then
close the dynamo without saving and open it again and run on another curve.
Try this. It might be solve the problem.

Thank you, I will look for that code. I dont know why but it worked when I opened a revit project in architecture project instead of structural. But I will look at the python code and get back if there is a problem. Thank you.
