Editing Issues with Duplicated Components

Hello,

I'm having difficulty editing a component (model in-place) after duplicating it from an original.

When I try to edit, the editing lines do not appear, but the outline of the original component is bold.
Is it not possible to edit the copied component independently? Do I have to edit the original?
Is there a way to copy a component without maintaining this link to the original?

That is the behavior when you copy model in place components.  Use a basic wall, edit profile, copy, then you won't have that issue.

If you need to use a copy model in place component, then select the copied, cut and paste aligned in place, then edit.

Thanks @ToanDN for your reply,

Unfortunately, I cannot use walls; it must be a component with the floor category to be correctly read by other software through the IFC file.

These components are empty panels that will later serve as a support for the generation of light steel frame elements.

It's as simple as copy and paste!

Thanks
