Hi to all,
sorry for my English. I have a problem with creating a curtain wall made of custom panels like that in the picture.
I drew the panel as generic metric model adaptive, as profile and as metric curtain panel.
I've tried to create a trapezoidal facade in different ways:
1. With curtain Wall. Revit replaces the edge panels with system panels. Besides, I can not apply curtain wall in non-vertical facades.
2. With curtain System. Revit replaces the edge panels with system panels and it rotates the grid. I have to rotate the grid manually with angle parameter. It isnt't pratical and accurate.
3. With division of local mass and addition of panel pattern. The edge of panels is not perfectly linear and there is a little offset of the external edge of panels. Besides, Revit rotates the grid.
4. I created a curtain wall in which the panels were a same generic walls. I made the generic wall with an external subtraction (panel profile). This method have the same issues of 1.
5. Now I'm trying to replace the edge panels in Dynamo with particular adaptive panel. This one is made with a boolean subtraction of external elements. The issue is that trapezoidal panels do not maintain the horizontal profile. Revit rotates the grid panel in which the center of rotation is the center of gravity of the panel. I can not avoid this.
does anyone have a solution?
thank you very much
