DWG Export inconsistent to view filters

Dear all,

There is some part of the DWG Export that I don't actually understand and Web info is not in much depth up to what I have found out. My Revit View is as seen below:

I want to export the same view settings to my DWG Layers as well so I use the following export settings:

But the outcome is not something I can actually understand

Pat1 is exported appropriately, but Pat2 has that Red hatch which I don't know where it's coming from.

BTW these ate the view filter settings of this type of element:

Thank you in advance for your patience.

first off Kudos for using Layer Modifiers 👍.

it looks like there is some confusion with the Hatch background color settings in AutoCAD when exporting. What happens when you use the ByLayer/ByEntity option?

also, if you go to the Patterns tab, you can force certain fill patterns to Hatch patterns.

No difference. So isn't there some solid explanation why this might be taking place?

Without having access to the files its a guessing game.

  • it could be how the colors are be intrepided during conversion?
  • it could be all the content in the DWG needs to be selected and set them to By Layer manualy?
    • the export doesn't always do that even when its selected.
  • it could be the colors being used (RGB vs 256)?
  • etc....

Can you upload the files, or a portion of the files for us to look at?

One thing that sounds like possible answer is that RGB vs 256 you said. But how do you select a color to be one of the 256. All my options aren't in this window?

we use mostly RGB, so I'm not entirely sure... but you can try playing with these 3 settings options.
