draw order issue (detail items)

I'm experiencing an issue with the draw order of two detail items, such as a line with thickness and another detail item on top of the line. Previously, this functioned without any problems in earlier versions of Revit. I believe this is a bug that Autodesk needs to address and resolve asap.

  • If you print directly to the printer, does it look correct?
  • What PDF driver are you using?
  • Is the "line style" a Model Line or a Detail Line?
    • looks like a Detail line from the image, but want to make sure 😊

also, what version of revit are you using?

Right now, I'm using Revit 2023. The PDF drivers I'm using are pdf24 and Microsoft Print to PDF. Additionally, I've also printed directly to the printer. All variants show the same thing. I have attached the example for reference.

I'm leaning towards the PDF driver.... i'm in 2023 also, when i did a similar thing in my model it printed fine. I'm using PDFXChange Lite driver.

Detail Line with a Detail item set to Bring to Front.

interesting.... using your model I'm having the same issue. The issue seems to be with the Solid Fill being used in the nested family. if I add Linework to the nested family the linework displays Over the detail line. Consider changing the nested family in the Detail Item. Or just make it Linework in the Detail Item and not use a nested family.

The linework shows properly, but the Solid Fills do not.

Hi Jonathan,
I've been helped. The solution was to plot to Raster Processing.
I still is kinda weird that the layer order function did not brought te solution. I hope that this can be reviewed.

Thank you.
