Doors Missing From Library

The only doors I have available after downloading the content library  are the 'single flush'. Is there an 'add-on' that I need to install?

What do you need?  A lot of content is available on-line -- both Generic and Manufacturer.

I downloaded the Revit.2018.1 content files but the doors are still missing. We may just end up using Revitcity.com

Downloading them isn't enough. You need to insert them into your project. Insert tab > load family.

REVIT Load Family Screenshot.pngHere is a screenshot. I don't have the option of loading the family because it doesn't exist. It is not in any of the available folders. I only have access to single flush doors.

Okay, clearly you have an issue. There's a lot of content missing!  If you've actually downloaded the full Library content file, then I suspect it's in the wrong location or your registry is wrong.  Where is it located? Is it in the same location that Revit is pathed to (Options=>File Locations=>Places)?

...you know, if I were you, @Anonymous; I would just do a clean uninstall and re-install of the program.

What if you click the little drop-down arrow. Does this location correspond to where you extracted the new downloaded familes?

A large part of the library was missing because the IT people hadn't installed it. It had nothing to do with loading the content into your project. They weren't available to load.

You probably need to step down from whatever self appointed throne you're sitting on and realize that you don't know everything. Humility is a great thing. You should try it some time.

It turns out the IT people who installed the software didn't install it correctly. They have corrected the problem.

Thanks

To whom are you directing this post? It seems like everyone that posted here was trying to help you troubleshoot your issue.

...just checking back in with you, @Anonymous. I think I know to  whom you directed your post and why.  You directed it to me because of my "light bulb" post; right?  I guess someone could interpret that post as condescending. But they would be wrong. @Avaris. suggestion to "Load" the family in the Project has actually been a helpful and creditworthy solution to other forum members in the past.  I kid you not. Newbies do participate in this forum as well.  So, I sincerely thought it was a smart suggestion at the time.

Have a good day.
