Doors Ghost Weak Reference Planes

Hi all, I am hoping somebody can help me with my ghost problem.

When I nest a family into a door family then load the door family into a project, the Weak Reference Planes in the door family are able to be selected as if they were geometry - this has problems of the family being able to be selected some distance away from the family, hence it ghosts into a selection when it shouldn't. I was not able to replicate this by nesting into a generic model family so my assumption is that this particular haunt is restricted to doors. Tested in Revit 2017 & 2018.

To change such a family so that its instances cannot be selected in a view when the family is hidden, use the Family Editor to edit the family, select all of the reference planes, change the Is Reference parameter's value to Not a Reference, and load the modified family into the project.

Thanks for the reply Alex. Yes that is a way to stop the Weak Reference planes from ghosting. However, this means that I can't dimension to a reference plane within the project. What I am looking for is a solution to what I believe is a bug - noting that I only get this problem in door families and not generic model families.
