Door Swing indication

Hi all,

I have a door family with a door swing nested as a seperate family.

The small issue that I have is the swing angle (instance parameter) is set to 60°. I think it beacuse it was 60° when I initially loaded it into the project. But I tried to delete the door and swing indication family and reload it, it's still set to 60°.

How do I make it 90°? I don't want to change it every time.

Attached image below,

Thank you all, Happy new year 🙂

You could select the door with 90 degrees right click and use Create Similar from the shortcut Menu this should use the 90 value.

It could also be related to this issue?

It is an instance parameter. Instance parameters do not get overwritten when you reload the family. You can do one of the following:

  1. Option A: Edit the family >> Change the Swing Angle from "Instance" to "Type" >> set its value to 90
    • Reload into the project
    • Choose: Overwrite the existing version and its Parameter values
  2. Option B: Keep it as an Instance Paramerter
    • Select one of the doors with 60 degrees swing
    • Right Click >> Select All instances >> In view or In Project (whichever you wish to change)
    • Set value in the properties box to 60
