Door schedule with Room (not based on to/from)

Is there a way to basically combine the to/from room field in a door schedule. I want to have the ability to choose the room name the door is associated with in a single column without having to change the door swing.

Yes.  Choose room field from Select available fields from drop down.

I see "from room" and "to room" but dont want the name based on direction of swing.

You can select the From Room or To Room name and swap it without having to change the actual door swing direction.  You must NOT turn on Room Calculation Point in the door families, though.

See example below where I swap the From/To and the door swing doesn't change.

If you select the door and select "edit family", then when in the family select "family category and parameters" in the upper left (yellow folder), scroll through the "family parameters" and deselect "room calculation point".

Problem was solved four years ago by doing exactly what you've just said... Why did you feel the need to bring a four year old thread back up?

You're right. I misunderstood the solution and thought maybe something changed with the new version....I'm very tired.
