Hi, I have had a problem with several of my Revit Project Files. When I go to change a window or door (creating a new type) I get an error box "Error - cannot be ignored" with the explanation of "Can't make type "Window - slider: 5040". I am not able to import new windows into the files, see attached pdf.
I have audited the file and uninstalled and reinstalled the program, but this has not fixed the problem.
Any idea what the problem is? And how I fix it?
Thanks
So, my guess is that you're picking a Window Type that is hosted differently than the other windows the Family Types Parameter was using.
Post the file and I'll explain with pictures.
Can you give me some driving directions here as well? What do I check?
There is no 5040 Slider.
...but I can create a 5040 Type without issue.
Oops sorry. I was duplicating a window to create a larger window - see PDFs. @barthbradley

Seems to work flawlessly on my end.
Any idea why I would get an error message, and you don't? I have reinstalled Revit once already.
