In autocad there is a simple toggle called AUTOCAPS that makes it so that all text written in the program is automatically capitalized. Makes going from email to CAD easy without having to think about your capslock. It seems so simple and I can't find this toggle on revit. Surely... after 10 years or so this is a feature?

Surely it is not and it is quite simple to turn them off when not needed. In fact, email programs are recognizing that caps lock is on and will automatically turn it off.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Not quite, this is more for correcting lowercase writing after the fact rather than a toggle unfortunately. I do use this though as a stop gap. So weird that this isn't a feature yet.

Right? So strange that its not an option yet. Ah well, I'll ask around in 2030

Ah, I see what you are saying, actually didnt know AutoCAD had that...

You could easily make a Dynamo script that capitalizes all text in the model in one click (not exactly what you are saying but better than correcting the case of multiple texts objects)

Also, it is possible (99 percent sure) to create a plugin using Revit API that turns on CAPS LOCK when a Text object is placed. A little bit more difficult than the Dynamo option

That's true, and honestly I saw the dynamo and API recommendation before when I searched this topic. Just thought this might've been included at this point since the first post I saw asking for it was all the way back in 2008.

Just because it's been requested, hardly means that it will be implemented.
