Disappearing existing phase wall

In the existing phase wall there is no open doorway, but in the new phase there is an open doorway in the external wall.  So, in the new phase,  I created an opening, but like magic, in the existing phase the entire wall disappeared.

This is the message I got when trying to put in another wall for the missing wall:

"A wall and a room separation line overlap. One of them may be ignored when Revit finds room boundaries. Shorten or delete the room separation line to remove the overlap."   So the missing wall must be there...but how do I make it show again.  This is all in the Elevations in Revit 2020.

Change phase filter to Show complete... To show it in final state

You need to check ut the various phase filters and get familiar with all and their overrides

I am not having problems showing the new 'show complete', but the existing wall, with garage door and window, disappeared.  In the new phase, same wall, I removed the opening (where this problem all started from) and in the existing view, no matter which filter is chosen, the existing wall doesn't show any more.  Yes, I've seen the YouTube video, but even with changing phases and/or filters, no existing wall.   any ideas?

I had to 'back up" (cnt Z) until I got back to where the wall disappeared.
