Dimensions disappear when elements are un-hidden.

I copy/pasted a string of dimensions from one view to another (one level to another), while the view has a temporary view template applied to it. The dimensions come in looking fine. Then when I restore view properties, i.e. unhide hidden elements, some dimensions disappear.

I'm used to dimensions disappearing when elements are hidden, that makes some sense. But I'm not sure I understand why dimensions would disappear when elements are un-hidden? If the dimensions look fine when things are hidden, shouldn't they be unaffected by the hidden elements being un-hidden?

The temporary view template only hides certain things, it doesn't change anything like view range, etc.

That's an odd one. In my quick testing dimensions that I add while using a temporary view template does not remove them. Is it possible that something you are adding the dimension to is influencing the outcome? What elements are you adding dimensions too during that mode?

Dimension was from wall to a reference within a window family, nothing out
of the ordinary.
