Hi -
I have downloaded a Revit family from Herman Miller and want to use the three seat sofa option in my design, but only the two seat loads into my project. I understood that when I loaded a family into my project, all items in the family would load (2-seat and 3-seat sofas, side chair), however I do not see them in the Project Browser or Properties tabs, nor are they available anywhere in Type Properties. I have opened the family and looked around, but can not figure out how these families work! Can someone please educate me on this, as it is super frustrating and I can't seem to find any answers online (although to be fair, I could be searching incorrectly).
Thank you so much!

Do not open the family or the text file. In your project, use Insert > Load Family > then load the family you downloaded and you will see a table open to choose different types from.
Looks like an incomplete download or only one type is defined. Make sure you get the Type Catalog text file like @Anonymous suggests.

AH, perfect, thank you - that worked! I had been opening the file and then loading it into my project. You have saved me hours of grief!
I checked @Anonymous's answer as the solution since his was correct. Families that have type catalogs must use the Load Family button to properly "look" at the type catalog to choose the available types/configurations that are available. When you open the family and use Load into Project you get the default family type that is defined there...the catalog of types isn't "seen" during that process so you don't get to choose.
