        I need to create families with formula, can any one say what are the basic of shape controlling formulas, and how to create it.

               Actually I'm Working in Timber Framing Houses and I need to Create detail drawings, So i planed to create families for detail drawing, by using formulas i need to create families for my detail drawings, in future it is also help in automation. Kindly see the below Image.

we are using AGA CAD ad-dons in our project in that saw all the families controlled by so much of formulas, how they do it and how to learn it..? refer below image

 kindly help me where i learn those things... it is very interesting.
