Door swing and Bathroom fixtures visibility in reflected ceiling plan

Hi there,

I need to show the door swing and the Bathroom fixtures in reflected ceiling plans although the cut level is above doors.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

You can use an underlay in your view and reference the floor plan.

Another option in some cases are plan regions (under view > Plan Views). More useful if you only need it in a few specific places

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Hello, most of the time we (MEP) work on the cloud linked model, so that option is greyed out. So any other suggestion? Thank you.

Thanks for posting this. I didn't realize we can use underlays for items in the same level. However, for my view I had to set the Orientation to "Look up" instead of "Look down" as your screenshot shows.

I usually set the cut plane to 6" and that also covers lower level fixtures (i.e. step lights). But plan regions also can help if in some areas the above doesn't work. You can do 4'and use plan regions where a fixture is even lower. or combine that with the above underlay trick. I actually have to try this out a bit more now that I know of the underlay option.
