Different printing dates depending on the project phase

I have this problem:

arq_42_0-1753358593001.png

Why? Because bosses exist.

I have a bunch of sheets to print several times, once for Basic phase, and another for Detail Design.

The print date that appears in the title block depends on whether that issue it's in the Basic phase or in Detail Design.

The set of basic sheets was delivered with a specific date (date 1).

-Sheets reprinted in basic must show both dates (date1 + date2).
-Some new sheets are delivered for the first time on date 2; these should only show that date.

All sheets + any new ones must be reprinted as the Detail Design phase, but with a different date (date 3).

I need to keep this information in case I'm asked for the basic sheets (again).

I know that this can be achieved with Revisions, BUT, i cant cause (again) Bosses exists, and we use Revisions for Model deliveries.

My approach was to create a visibility parameter for the title block, which controls all the Basic/Design data (title, architect, stamp, date 1, and date 3).
I linked this parameter to a global parameter in the project, so that if I wanted to print Basic, I would activate it, and if not, I would deactivate it.

The problem arose with the variation of date1, date1+2, and date 3.

This is the bust in the workflow. Revit is a snapshot in time. You cannot go back without losing work. The bosses are not the problem. They just need to be corrected of any misconceptions of what Revit is capable of.

My temporary solution was as follows:

3 shared parameters, controlled within the project from project information:
date 1+2, date 2, date 3.

In the title block, put 3 label texts in the same place, each with 1 of these parameters.

1 Visibility parameter for each label
1 Basic/Design visibility parameter (VBD)
1 Basic1+2/2 visibility parameter (B1/2)

If VBD is disabled, the Design data and date3 are displayed.

If VBD is enabled AND B1/2 are enabled, the Basic and date1+2 data are displayed.
If VBD is enabled AND B1/2 is disabled, the Basic and date2 data are displayed.

In the project, link the VBD parameter to a global parameter, so that with one click I can decide whether to print all of Basic or all of Design.

Problem: I can only control B1/2 by selecting the title blocks individually, and I can't link them to a sheet parameter.

For now, I'm solving this with Pyrevit, which allows me to select a bunch of title blocks in a pair of clics. However, in my studio, I'm the only one who uses Pyrevit, so it's not a solution for the normal workflow.
