-We are running the most current version of Revit 2019.
-We have done it with every file type that Revit can import.
Are you sure you want to "import" rather than "link" into Revit?

-No I am not sure but every way that I import/link it isn't able to import. It gets to 3% and then hangs. I have let it go for 2 days and it hasn't imported.
For context. I can make the file into a obj and bring the file up in Microsoft paint 3d without issues.
-it is a 2 gig file. I can import it into 3ds max without issues. If I could output a revit file from 3ds it would be a lot easier.
-I have 12 gigs of ram on this computer but can go up to 32 gigs of ram if needed.

Hi bderry,
- What Revit release are you using?
- Do you have AutoCAD? Could you bring it into AutoCAD first and save as DWG to see if DWG works better?
- Or have the 3DS Max source export directly to DWG instead for you?

- Could it just be the size of the file that is the issue? How big is this file?
- Maybe it's bogging down due to your hardware specs(?) How much RAM are you working with?
