When drawing detail items (studs etc.) in a model, the model "shows through" the detail item.  I assume I am missing something simple.  In this example below, how can you have the view show the stairs only between each stud. It's as if the detail item, 2 x 4 stud in this example, is transparent (but I confirmed in Visibility Graphic Overrides that it is not transparent).Revit Detail Items.png

Masking region or masking fill pattern not in detail item...else it is just linework.

...or reduce your Far Clip (e.g. make it 1/8") and see if that eliminates it.

...by chance, do you have Depth Cueing activated in the View?

...never mind. You want the stairs to show.  If those are transparent model elements, then I think you got an override in the view.  Maybe by element -- not by category.

Thanks RevitRX.  That was the issue, after setting the visual style to hidden line things appeared as one would expect.  I should have thought of that.
