Design Options

Hi
I created a design set with 2 options, my objects are already set between the 2 options. I want to transfer some objects for example from option 1 to the second. I get an error message that prevents me to do it. If I delete an option, all included objects will be also deleted.

I want to be able to control my objects between options. How to do it, please?

Many Thanks

Works with some objects only. I can't paste to the Main Model too. Is there a way to paste it to the Main Model or delete the set and to keep my objects?

Yes, I did. What I need now is delete the option set I created without deleting the objects or removing the objects back to the Main Model.

This makes no sense whatsoever... Just copy the objects to the design sets to include them or to the main model to include it everywhere... or use cut to move it (cntr+X or shift-delete). First copy/cut, switch Active Design Option and then Paste (aligned to same place). Switch and paste to multiple Design Options if it needs to be included in multiple Design Options.

Clipboard Copy/Cut and Paste will work. I think you will make life much easier on yourself if you set up and switch between DEDICATED VIEWS.  There is no Design Option Workflow without Dedicated Views.  That's my TIP of the day. You'll thank me later.   Promise.

I tried this option it works with a couple of objects but not with all objects to remove it to new projects. I didn't understand the error.

I don't have a problem with the selection, it's with pasting lots of objects.

I think the idea is to create a view for each design. It looks like a better idea than Design Options. Does it work after the mess I did in Design Options?

Dedicated Views are part of the Design Option workflow, not a replacement or alternative to Design Options.  As for "the mess" you say you made, I have no idea what you did, but I am certain that creating Dedicated Views will make it easier to "fix" and manage.
