Hi,

I have come across the following problem, while I was trying to model a little more big complex as you can see in the following screent shot:

Untitled picture.png

Imagine I have five buildings, superstructures, with common two basement floors they share. Although the buildings shown in the screen shot seem to have the same story height, they don't. Each of the buildings have its own story height. So e.g. the levels 1 to 4 of the building No. 1 have other elevations than of those of the building No. 2. So to my understanding I Need e.g. two Level 1's with each different elevation. But in revit it seems to be impossible to have two levels with the same name.

Does anyone have an idea how to model this in revit.?

Thank you.

1) you can draw each building in a different file and than link or export to the main file.

2) you can create levels with names include building and floor names but you have to be careful when drawing and make sure what level you are working in.

Been there; done this. I'd strongly advocate Sedat's #1 approach. Link all the buildings into a host via shared coordinates. Spend a little time researching and setting it up properly before diving in. You'll be happier in the long run.  Good luck.

What do you do when you have multiple levels on the same building?

Is there a way to hide leves at diffrent building parts? Because if you drawing walls on "building part A" it attatches to Level 2B instead of level 2A.

As shown in the previous two posts, create the separate buildings in different files - you should not see the levels from the other buildings.

If you have to work in the same file. you can name the levels according to the relevant building and use s filter to just show the relevant levels.

You could use scope boxes. Define levels that are on all buildings to overall scope box, levels on specific building attached to a scope box for building A/B/C/.. With regards to same names for levels if you link them as seperate Revit projects for each building, that should work.
