Help with a multi-level roof

Hi there, I am relatively new to Revit and was wondering if you could help me.

I am currently working on a project, and was trying to replicate a type of roof seen from a precedent in which slopes onto a different level (goes from one floor to another).

Here is an image of what i'm trying to replicate:

Here is what I currently have:

I wish the roof to slope from the third story, keeping the same ring shape to the second floor on the other side.

Any help will be appreciated! Thank your for your time

Essential you have different plate heights. You could approach this by entering in offset from plate values within the boundary sketch, or you could model it flat and then use Modify Sub Elements to shape roof by entering in point elevations.  There are other approaches you could use, but based the information at hand, I think either one of those footprint methods would work fine.

Thanks for the help, I however have no idea how to really do all this!

Do you possibly have any videos that might help?

Thank you for the assistance though!

Just Google the keywords I used: Roof by "Footprint method", "Different Plate Heights", "Modify Sub Elements". You should find plenty of videos.

Just draw a roof by footprint then adjust the slope. A big enough roof with steep enough slope will span multiple levels.

You’re welcome back, Connor. Thanks for the shout out. Have fun with the challenge. I love roof challenges – and Revit is a fantastic tool in that arena. Let us know how you do, or if we can help you further. Take care.
