I've been using cut line styles overrides in my floor plan view templates to show only stud walls as required by my employer, with great success. Love that feature!
One hiccup I ran into this morning - it doesn't seem to apply to "existing" phase of project. I'm guessing this occurs when Revit overrides the existing objects for them to show up greyed-back. I need them to show up this way, but I don't want to see the finish layers either. Does anyone know if I can make this work, or is it an either/or conundrum?
