Cut Curtain Wall with Mass

I have a mass-formed curtain wall which I can't cut using a void.

As you can see on the image I'm trying to connect a circular tower to a base which is split over 2 floors, so I want to cut the part of the tower (curtain wall) that intersects on the higher floor.

Is there a simple way to achieve this?

Cut the curtain system using a solid form mass, not a void, then hide the solid mass.

Or, cut the form with a void then create or update the curtain system.
