CUT and Fill values = Zero

Hello,

I have been trying to fix this all day. I need the cut and fill volume of my building pads, but they are coming back as zero. I already generated a graded region of the topography but somehow is giving me just the value of one pad: the basketball court.

Even if I copy this particular pad, it will work on the copy, but if I change the size of it, it displays exactly the same values.

Why all the rest of the Building Pads aren't working? I'm uploading the file if someone could help

1. Set View Phase to Existing and Phase Filter to Show Complete

2. Create a Toposurface. Its properties should read: Phase Created = Existing, Phase Demolished = None

3. Change View Phase to New Construction.  Phase Filter remains Show Complete

4. Select Topo, press Graded Region and then press Create New Toposurface Exactly Like Existing one.

5. Place Building Pad on the Graded Region Copy. It should be the only one visible in the View at this point.

Cut/Fill Data should report if you followed these instructions precisely.

Thank you for the answer @barthbradley

I just tried again, following all the steps and the same happens. Just one path is giving values. You can see in the image attached.

I think its some kind of troubleshooting. When I copy paste the site it says, "Line in Sketch is slightly off axis and may cause inaccuracies." I wonder if that is corrupting the site in someway.

There's not one Toposurface showing in the Existing Phase. In order for Cut/Fill Calculations to be made, the Pad needs to be placed on a GRADED REGION COPY with the source Toposurface - from which that Graded Region Copy is made - existing in the previous Phase. Where did it go?

Sorry, I just copy pasted the topography of my actual project (400 MB) to a new file and didn't set up that.

But just as I said, I have done that and its still not working. I am uploading the file with the existing-new construction and the topography schedule still at zero.

Because you are NOT cutting the Graded Region Copy with any Building Pads.  You have 2 Toposurfaces in the same Phase, as you can see in this Screenshot where I have separated them.

Phasing is strictly critical for grading region, building pad, and cut/fill calcs.  When you copy paste from one project to another, you lose all phasing because everything is paste under the same phase.

If you want to share the file, do a save as, delete everything except the topos and building pads, the repost it.

@ToanDN I tried -save as-  of my original file and erase everything but the topography and still comes as 350 MB.

@barthbradley I don't get what's wrong still with the file. Even if I erase the other topography and create new paths on the new graded region. Schedule still comes back at zero.

I really understand what you are saying on the importance of the phases. If I open a new file, create a new topography, generate the graded region, and make a pad I get the normal cut and fill values. I've done other projects without any problem. But in this particular topography, I just cant fix it.

I tried everything you said.

Never succeeded. For last 20 hours of work

File is attached. Can you PLESE do the magic and I have Cut/Fill

There is one building (I work in Revit LT so it is Wall in Place object)

The bottom should be at 261

The other building (not modeled) should be at 262.5

I need to organize driveways and parking also.

I could make graphic presentation but never calculation.

I hope you can help 🤗
