Cut and Fill values are not showing

I have created a topography and have followed all the steps posted in the previous posts.

- Created topography in the existing phase

- Graded region in the New Construction phase

- Creating a pad on the graded copy of the topography in the New Construction phase. 

However, I'm still seeing no values of cut and fill in the topography schedule. Tried changing the phasing views of the schedule too, but to no avail.

Where are you not seeing Cut/Fill?  In the Schedule? In the Properties of the Topo Infill created by the Pad? 

I suspect you are expecting to see Cut/Fill reported for the Graded Region Copy. That's not what you pull Cut/Fill from. Pull Cut/Fill from the Topo Infill.

Like I said above, the cut/fill quantities are properties of the Topo Infill. Hide Building Pad Category in View and then select just the Topo Infill (Tab-Select if necessary).  Once selected, you'll see the cut/fill quantities in the Topo Infill Instance Properties. Name the Topo Infill (maybe put that Name in Comments) and filter Schedule by Comments equals [Name of Top Infill].

But still, I am not getting any values even after using a filter

I don't know what's going on with your Project. I copy/pasted your Existing Phase Toposurface into a brand new Project, Created a Graded Region Copy from it in a forward Phase (New Construction) and then created a Building Pad atop the Graded Region Copy.  Worked perfectly.

Since when is this true for calculating cut & fill in topographies before Revit 2024? As far as I know, that used to work well without doing any extra steps or workarounds. It does not work in Revit 2024 but I understand that this thread is about a previous version.

I'm not clear what you mean @Alfredo_Medina, but there's nothing inaccurate about that statement.  Did you see my screenshots above?  In the OP's case, I couldn't get cut/fill from their Project's Topo Infill for some reason. I could once I copied and pasted it to a new project however.  Worked like a charm then.  Got any insights as to why cut/fill wouldn't report in the OP's Project?

My point is that before the 2024 version, it was not necessary to apply filters to a topography schedule to get cut & fill calculations. It simply worked without doing workarounds. When I saw your post I thought you had discovered some trick to make these calculations work in Revit 2024, but then I realized that the question refers to a previous version of Revit. So, why is it necessary to apply a filter to the schedule to get the result in this case?

A filter is not "required".  Nor am I suggesting any workarounds.  My point was that the cut/fill quantities are  properties of the Topo Infill. I was instructing the OP to name the Topo Infill and use filter to isolate that named element in the schedule to see those quantities. Once I saw OP's RVT, I saw what the problem was. There were no cut/fill quantities reporting for the Topo Infill.  I have no idea why. All I know is that it was right as rain after I copy/pasted the OPs Topo to a new Project and created the Graded Region Copy and Building Pad in that new Project.  Go figure.

I have the same strange problem. If I copy them both in a new document it works fine!
