Custom annotation for Spot Elevations

Hi, I need help. I want to create an annotation family for my spot elevation that will display the room name at the top of it (as shown in the picture). On the left side, I will use it for my floor plan, and on the right side, I will use it for my section plan. The room name itself is not strictly necessary using room labels, for example, using instance family types so I can edit every text within the same family type. What family template should I use to create it, and can you provide me with some basic steps I can follow to make it, maybe using custom formulas in labels? Thank you.

Can't be done. It's probably proposed as idea in the Ideas-forum, so maybe check that out to cast a vote?

You could hide the Elevation parameter in a shared parameter. The base offset of the rooms is often related to the elevation.

If you associate a shared parameter to rooms and then you use the Base Offset to calculate the elevation, you can use Excel and SheetLink from DiRoots to push and pull the information you want.

The important part is you need to ensure that the base offset of the rooms is consistent with the elevation you are trying to measure.

All that being said. You should use an elevation annotation and not do this.

You can Tag a Work Plane-Based Family with a Tag that reads the In-Built Elevation from Level Parameter as well as Shared Parameter/Project Parameters. Those Shared/Project Parameters could be Text Fields that you manually input what you want the Tag to read. Check "Room Calculation Point" in the Family, and Schedules can report what Room it is placed in.
