Curtain Wall Panels Edit Profile problem

Hello,

I am trying to replicate a cladding system that has panels which overlap. My general approach is using curtain walls. The profile is quite complicated in terms of the shape and I think this might be the source of the problem.

When I am trying to edit the profile so that the top part is sloping I get an error.

I have tried cutting the curtain wall with reference planes and model in-place void extrusions but that did not work either.

Any idea on how to fix it or how to achieve the same result ? Attachments for reference.

You cannot use custom curtain panels nonrectangular shapes. Use system panels or basic wall types with cladding materials.

Another method: model the cladding using Mullions instead of Curtain Panels.  You can shape edit Mullions.
