crop region not visible

Hello, 

I need to crop 3d view.

Crop region is set to visible and when I check crop the view - there is nothing.

It workfor me in parallel views and in some 3d views.

Please help me, what can I do with it...

... go to your 3dview

.... go down and click the reveal hidden elements icon

... click on the crop view box and turn that blue

... right click

.... unhide in view elements

.... and then click again the reveal hidden elements icon

The Crop Region does not show up for a 3D view.  You want to check the box for "Section Box" in a 3d view.

But the thing is, that even in hidden elements I cant see crop box...

I thing it is too small somewhere in the jungle and thats why it crops evrerything..

If you use the Section Box checkbox to turn this on, you should be able to do a ZE/ZF which will show the furthest boundary of the Section Box (it will crop the view to match the Section Box).

.... delete your 3dview

... create a new one

... then in hidden elements look first for the crop view

... it needs to be checked

.... after having that on view

... go and make your section box

Yes.  You can have both but the Section Box gives much more flexible control over what is visible.

• uncheck Crop View
• check Crop Region Visible
• Zoom Extends
• Zoom out a couple of times
• Draw a selection box  from bottom right to Top Left (you now have selected al the elements in view)
• Filter the selection, selecting only Category Camera.

If I am right , you now have the Crop Region selected.

what worked in the end:

crop region visible and crop view - checked

zoom extends

select crop region - right click - regenerate crop region for 3d view
