Crop region disappeared. Help!

My crop region has disappeared in multiple plans in a file within Revit Arch 2017. One plan view is fine, as are other views like elevations, I have tried everything, even duplicated the view with detailing- nothing. When crop region visible is checked, it is nowhere to be found. When I crop it, my entire drawing disappears except annotation because I have opted not to crop it.

I can't find it to edit it. Nothing works.

Not sure why. In case you can't find it, try this fix:

- Uncheck Crop view
- Draw a Scope box, note its name, e.g. Scope Box 1
- On View properties, assign Scope Box 1 to Scope Box. The view is now cropped.
- Change View's Scope Box back to None, now you have a new stretchable Crop Region

If any of the above doesn't work, try going to 'Reveal Hidden Elements' (RH) to see if you have hidden the crop region, I know this was an issue with a few drawings I have worked on where someone has accidentally hidden it.

I hope this helps 🙂

Thank you for your post.  In this case we have seen some ill behavior with the cropped boundary functionality.  To help overcome this issue, if the print preview still shows the crop correctly (Test first) then this could be part of an ongoing issue our development team is aware of.  Once tested in plotting a PDF to verify it IS present in the output pdf, please refer to the below work around to overcome this issue.  Please let us know if this helped or if there are any questions for the community.  Thank you.

Current work around steps:
1. Navigate to, Options > Graphics > Graphics Mode > Draw visible elements only setting
2. Then, un-Check Draw visible elements only and press F5, the RVT link geometry will reappear.

Please help! I am in thesis and randomly my RCP keeps dissaparing and its only on my first floor. The other floors are fine.  When it does appear again (its random) and I try to drag it to a sheet, nothing shows up. If I hover I can see there is a viewport there, but the page is blank. If I try to print it to a PDF it is tiny and not the right scale, but my second floor prints perfect. If I try a JPEG or PNG the file is just blank-no RCP at all.  Nothing is hidden. I also can't see the crop region on it either, but I can see the crop region on all the other floors just fine.

Your question is off the topic of this thread. You might have some other troubles with your thesis if you can't stay on topic. Try starting a new thread for this new question.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

I'm running into this issue in 2021. I'm not seeing those options in the Graphics tab. Is there an update to how to fix this problem and make the elements reappear? I can see the grids, scope box, the rooms and even the autocad drawing i imported in to draw the elements, but they've all disappeared from my reflected ceiling plan. Its also happened on other views but those were easy fixes by just making the view crop inactive while i'm changing the boundaries, then i turn it back to active, but this rcp just isn't cooperating. I also tried printing to see if it'll still print right but its printing blank too so i don't know what else to do.
