Creating Revit Custom Pattern Files

For a variety of reasons I've found myself having to get my head around how to build a Revit fill pattern.  I came across the article below.

Create a Custom Pattern

I thought this would be helpful but on creating the example listed I got a 'No 'Model' type patterns found' error.

Looking at other patterns it appears there is an entire field missing from the example.

Can anyone confirm that the article is in fact wrong or not and if it is any chance of getting it corrected for others?

Cheers

K.

Actually looking again it appears to just be the code window that's screwed up - can this be fixed though as it's rather misleading...

Y, there is a typo in "the completed pattern file"

;%TYPE=MODEL0

which should be

;%TYPE=MODEL

@Keith_Wilkinson, I use pyRevit addin to create custom fille patterns. It's powerful, free, and easy to use.

See this article on how to create custom fill patterns with pyRevit: http://eirannejad.github.io/pyRevit/pyrevit/update/2017/03/04/patternmaker.html

There you'll also find a download link.

Looks interesting.  Previously I've used Revit Hatch Builder which has been around since about 2011 which works pretty well, In this case though it wouldn't let me have a module width of 337.5mm wide hence why I ended up looking at the file structure in more detail.

My issue with this article though is that it's wrong, which if you haven't got time to figure out why it's frustrating.

I have corrected the typo in the topic.

Thanks Jeff,

The code block at the end of the article is also incorrect, can this be fixed as well?

Cheers
