Creating new local file

Hi,

I am trying to create a new local file from a centarl revit file since I got a new Desktop.

IT was able to transfer all my files but my local file did not transfer properly.

When I am trying to create a new local file, it gives me the message below:

What type of network problem are we encounter? Our server and conections are working properly. I need technical support

Thanks,

What is the full path to your local folder?

Do you mean the central path on my computer?

H:\Projects\MIami Office Renovation 2015\Revit:

B&A Office Renovation Central

Hope this is what you need

Thanks,

No. I already saw the central path from your 1st post. I am asking for the LOCAL path, where your local file would be saved to.

It could be saved in the same folder, next to the central.

yes, if the path for your local file is inaccessible I.e. a drive that is no longer exists then this might be the cause of your problems.

Check that first and if necessary set it to a local folder ( we typically just have ours set to the documents folder)

There is no "could be".  It is defined in Revit.  Can you look it up and tell us?

IT came and change the path to my local documents. You were correct, the path was going to our administrator.

Thanks for your help!

A better solution is to have a local path which is not user profile specific.

We use C:\Revit for all the standard setups.

This is done using the deployment and Revit.ini files.
