Creating new ceiling plan but the associated level above seems to jump around.

Revit 2020.2

 

Duplicating a ceiling plan to create a demo version of it. While it displays properly upon first duplication, when you change to a view template it changes its level above from the assigned to an actual level above.

Sounds like your View Range and your View Template is set incorrectly. Change the levels to Associated Level, if set to above, and make sure to select Included.

Let's clear this up. I submitted before proofing.

 

Sounds like your View Range in your View Template is set incorrectly. Change the levels to Associated Level in your View Template, if set to above, and make sure to select Included.

Your Viewtemplate has a blocked View Range, deselect not to change the heights in the applied view, or change the heights of the Top, Cut Plane and level.

I've ended up taking the view range out of the template as you have suggested. It will do the job for now.

Take a look at mauricio reply. He shows where the "Include" button is located in the View Template. Make sure that is checked.

It was included, I've had to remove it to get the result I want
