Creating LOD levels in same family?

I have created this basic window family. Now i want to load it into the project and when i change the detail level in the project i want the model to change...so should i make a separate model for each detail level???? how do i do this

how do i model them......they appear all over one another..is their any way to filter it by the Level of detail using view visibility.

Model them as nested families so that you can select each piece and assign its level of detail more easily.
