Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
We have an Apartment scheme consisting of 3 no. apartment blocks. Each apartment block has its own model that are linked into the site. This site model contains landscaping, trees, topography, and a concept massing model of the adjacent existing buildings.
Currently all 1:200 elevations of each individual building are set up within each individual building model (without the landscaping, trees, topography) For the purposes of the planning application we will need to show the topography, trees, shrubs and adjacent buildings within the vicinity of each 1:200 elevation building model in Block A, B & C ?
We do not want to be duplicating this information within the 3 building models as it is already present in the site model.
Any idea how to progress and cut the time spending duplicating the information into the 3 Building model (, A, B & C)?
Any idea would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Niall
I suppose you have Published Coordinates of the placement in Site file of the three buildings to their original files:
Now as you have Shared Coordinates activated for each your building files (A,B,C) you are able to link the Site file in each building file.
When you link A,B,C files into the Site File , make it Overlay not Attached .Anyway, even you'll use Attached Revit will not accept self referencing...

That work great. Thanks
But the next thing is I lost the orientation control, I can't make the building model 'project north'.......and it was project north until I published coordinates....
Update: I rotated the crop of the building model
