Creating Beams On A Slope

Hi

I want To create beams on a slope, all at the same angle in a straight line. when i create the reference plane to angle the beams they not noly slope upwards on the angle i want but each successive beam is slight raised which is not what i want.

Any help that you can give will be greatly appreaciated

the image below shows the first beam there should b seven more  in order behind it.

I'm not sure I understood you to well...

in my following two screencast I show how I am making sloped beams :

1. using Reference Planes and Structural Framing-Beam . The multiple can be realized either by using Copy or Array

Create the Reference Pane at the correct angle for the desired slope in a section or elevation view.

Then set the Reference Plane current -- Architecture Tab>Work Plane >Set

In a Plan View ( like Roof Plan ) place a beam. It should now be at the correct slope.

Check it in a 3D View. Make sure its start and end values are correct above the Level.

Using a Beam System, as mentioned in the other reply, is also a good method for controlling many beams with a specified spacing.

Make sure you have supports ( like bearing walls or beams ) modeled first before creating the Beam System.

Thank you both for your assistance, i am now able to do it, but i have discovered a new problem, the supporting ibeam that is below  the end of the beams  is not parrallel with the wall supporting the lower start of the beams, meaning each beam will be at a slightly different angle. would i have to create an individual plane for each beam in order to get the desired effect?

You can specify Start and End offsets for each beam to control heights at each end of each beam indivdually ( but not inside a Beam System.)
