Is it possible to create a label that can count and show the number of times that it has been placed in a project? I am trying to create a tag for egress doors. If it could generate the egress door number that would be a great time saver. Thank you!

If you identify the egress doors with any available field such as Comments then you can create a door schedule and filter by that field, to count the Egress only doors.

Or, select the Egress tag, right click, Select All Instances in Project, and look at the count.

I would also like the tag to show the number - you know, DOOR 1 and so on on the tag itself.

Would modifying the Mark be a solution? Our Mark has been modified to read A100 and so on. Could I create a duplicate Mark with just numbers?

Yes you can include a number in the Tag. But it is a number you manually enter for each egress door, not the automatic counting number like you mentioned.
