Create Apartment Areas in Model View Not Separate Area Plans

Is there a way to create room areas for entire apartment units in sheet/model view without having to create a separate area plan?  Typical room areas work in model view but not for apartment units where multiple rooms need to be included.

Not following. Do you mean create a new Area Plan from an existing? Untick "Do Not Duplicate Existing Views".

I would like my areas to show up on the plan/view that I am working in. Not on a separate 'Area Plan' View added to the project browser.  All 'do not duplicate existing views' does is make sure you don't create an area plan for a view that already has one. But I do not want to create a separate area plan view at all.

You can create a Room Color Scheme by Department so that Rooms are colored by Department. If I were to start from scratch I would use Spaces and Zones in lieu of Rooms and Areas.

One of the work around is to model separate dedicated FLOOR for units, and TAG that FLOOR extracting ( Parameters of ) that FLOOR Area...customise the TAG and you may put AREA, Unit number, TYPE, etc...

Area - Area

comments - Residential

Description - Adaptable

Mark - Unit Number ( Ex 101 )

Type Name - 2 Bed

Show Two types of Floor, ( 2Bed, 3Bed ) and tag that floor extracting the area.

Currently using a similar approach to this with filled regions. Created shared parameters with a custom detail tag to show area, unit number, etc. Hopefully I can create an area chart and have it read the shared 'area' parameters.
