Connect non-orthogonal walls with a column

Hi everyone,

I am trying to model non-orthogonal walls at a junction where Column exist.  I want wall edges to be parallels to column faces. (Please see the image attached.)  How can I solve this?

Hi, @utech.udara ,

1st Trim/Extend to Corner your walls

then Switch Join Order between the column and the walls

It is possible but the walls you are using in Revit are thicker than the ones you showed in the CAD snapshot

  • Either adjust the walls' layers to match the overall suitable width
  • Or Chnage the dimensions of the Columns
    • then Join Geometry

Thank you very much. It works ! :D. I had to disallow join geometry as shown in your video.

By the way even we try to join with different thickness it works.

Additional thickness continue till joining point. I think this is a better solution once we try to flush walls with plaster to structural columns.

(Right side with join geometry, Left side without)
