conduit settings

i've got a plan at coarse detail level (DL) and the conduit (1") shows the same size for coarse/medium (1'-4") DL and true size of Fine.   I cant find the setting to change the view settings for Conduit.  thought maybe in Medium DL, the conduit dia would change to maybe 6".

can i change the dia for each DL?

thank you,

Howard

There is no setting to change how conduits behave relative to the view detail level. I wish there was at least the ability to create filters, but sadly there is not. Fine is the only way to see a physical size difference.

As an alternate idea, have you considered creating filters to color-code by size?

Are you wanting conduits to always display in Fine detail level?  If so you can change that under VG... make sure you do it for conduit fittings too.

You can make conduits always appear in fine detail level even if view is set to course... check under VG for conduits and conduit fittings.

@s.borello I just want to show the conduit locations.  i'm not creating any type of system.  just locate what the MEP is showing on their plans.  I do the same thing with their ductwork.  just use them for reference/placeholders.

There are several ways to do it.

1. You may go to visibility override option and then change them to Fine. Keep your views withMedium/Coarse.

 2. You may create a separate model for conduit and make that view in Fine and link it into the working model where the DL is set as Medium/Coarse. Now you can go to the visibility override option and then to Revit Links. Select the link and change the display settings to custom.

Then change the detail level to Fine.

3. Select By Linked View option and choose the floor plan you want to show from the drop down options.

Hope this will help you.
