Concptual mass - visibility issue in Floor Plan

Hi there, Using conceptual mass, I created this solid form (I am an engineer and not familiar with conceptual massing much but learning a bit now as a hobby) and locked in the top surface to Level 2 (see image below).

When I go to Level 2 under ‘Floor Plans’, I cannot see the top surface.

However, it is shown in Level 2 under ‘Structural Plans’.

I happened to think that Floor Plans look down but I may be wrong.

I checked visibility settings also.

Anyone could assist me on explaining this issue please?

Thanks Chamil

@cramanayaka

That is due to the different View Range settings of structural plans.

  1. In architectural plans, the Offset for "Primary Range Bottom" and the "View Depth" are usually set to 0, to see only what is on the current level
  2. In structural plans they are set to -ve value in order to see the structural elements(columns/beams...) below the slab of the current level

View Range in Structural Plans would look somewhat similar to the below:

View Range in Architectural Plans would look somewhat similar to the below:

I'm trying to understand why if the mass is aligned to the Floor Roof- when I go to the Roof Floor plan

I'm not able to see it. As you can see I'm in the family environment.
