component materials won't update on project after overwrite

Hello Everyone! so I tried to edit a component in my project, I changed it's material, checked on all views and successfully did apply and appear like it, but when I loaded it into the project and overwrite, it does not seem to change. what can be the problem here? THANK YOU SO MUCH

Project Materials Rule. Materials in a Family do not overwrite Materials in a Project when the Family is loaded into the Project.
