Component Error

I just edited a component and added a few different extrusions to it, but now I get an error message "Can't regenerate Family.  Edit Family to modify it."

I deleted the other extrusions I added, and it still wouldn't work- I cannot copy and paste it into another family either- I cannot find any reason that it won't work.. It is just simple extrusions...

Are the extrusions locked to reference planes that are constrained by dimensions?  Thowing in random extrusions into a family causes random issues when loaded into a project.

...or maybe the extrusion is driven by a parameter parameter or ref. plane that is causing it to zero out, or causing a line in the sketch to become too short (less than 1/32").

I know that this is an old topic but I wanted to add a potential fix for anyone looking for a solution later - I just encountered this issue and solved it for myself. It was a Design Options issue for me... I was trying to make a model-in-place component that used a model element from a different design option as a workplane. So I just had to dissacociate the extrusions or whatever from the model-in-place component from their workplane and I stopped getting the warning.

Just to offer some support for this solution, disassociating the geometry from the workplane worked for me as well. Thanks @zacharyRGVFB !
