I drew some columns and they could be seen in the #D view but in th eplan view they are invisible, despite the odd fact that in visibility graphics the columns are ticked. HOw can I make the columns visible in the plan view?

hi, 1)check your base offset (could be negative value) and top offset value in propoerties, specially when you use structural column and set detail level to "FINE". 2) check your view range in the properties. hope it helps. thanks

Joining the column to the floor might have worked however it is still not the correct practice...What you need to do is one of the following:

  1. When you start the command; ensure in the option bar you have Height and it is set to unconnected. In your file your file which you posted on another thread/OP it was set to HEAD (This way you see it in the architectural plan view you are drawing on and in all visibility settings)
  2. When you draw columns you use the tool Attach Top/Base not Join Geometry (As I've said Join Geometry might have solved it but its not the best practice)

Hope this clarifies the issue. If you find it helpful kindly accept as solution

GOt it I should edit it fisrt as a group and THEN choose the column so It could be chosen in a way which is editable.
