Colour schemes doesn't load

Good morning everyone,

I wonder if any of you has had the following problem and, if you found a solution because it is really annoying.

I have always used colour schemes to show different uses, spaces, etc. Since a few weeks ago, when I choose a colour scheme (by room name, area name, etc) it begins to load and try to calculate the colours but Revit never finishes calculating the colours. If I try to sync or save the file, I can't do it as there is a message that displays "Can't sync, colour fills are calculating". So the only solution is turning off the colour scheme, which also takes ages to open.

Has anyone had this problem? I wonder if this is something related with the use of Windows 11? I have tried to turn on and off "Hardware acceleration" and it doesn't work either.

Many thanks in advance!

There are several article on this or similar error online...did you do the research first?

Many thanks for your reply!

Yes, I did the research first and saw the link you posted. The solution in that post is related to a problem with an individual element or view, which is not my case as this is happening in every file I open.

Anyway, many thanks for your help.

If the corrupt color schemes are in the template then every project you start using that template will regenerate the issue.  Anyhow that was one example. There are several other proposed solution including yet not limited to updates, clearing computer cash and temp folders ...all the way down to the worst case scenario of performing a clean uninstall

It is quite hard to guess which applies to your case since all you told us is that you are having an error which is preventing you from syncing

Hi RDAOU,

Many thanks for your replies and apologies for my late reply.

Just in case it helps to anyone else, same issue has happened to a few colleagues within our architectural firm once they have upgraded to Windows11. Since the moment the upgrade has been done the problems with the colour scheme has started to happen to everyone so I guess it is a bug between the new release of W11 and Revit or some hardware incompatibility as we all are using the same computer spec.
